CAMP BROADWAY is a theater arts education and audience development company committed to making the performing arts accessible to children and teens by connecting theater professionals with young artists in original and creative ways. Our five-day performing arts program is the highlight of our year when theatre-loving kids are introduced to all aspects of Broadway in a professional, interactive, theatrical environment.
CAMP BROADWAY’s summer program includes instruction in voice, acting, dance, movement and solo and ensemble singing while learning and rehearsing dialogue, musical numbers and dance routines for a featured Broadway musical of the week. It also includes our own Gypsy Showcase, a theatrical competition that requires our campers to work together as a team to create an original theatrical piece that showcases both their inventiveness and individual talents. Finally, Master classes are scheduled throughout the week in which guest artists from Broadway provide Campers with interactive classes in their field of expertise. The week program culminates in the Family Finale, a final presentation for family and friends.
As is our tradition, the 2004 program will be filled with special surprises including a backstage tour of Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Your child also receives an "official" T-shirt for class, a wardrobe bag, an "all access" pass, a certificate of performance and a Broadway gift bag fit for a star.
