4-H Paws N Pals Dog Retreat packs everything dog into a fun filled 3 day, 2 night retreat in the hills of Western Maryland. We'll be "camping-in" the modern, air conditioned multi-purpose building at the Allegany County Fairgrounds. Attendees are invited to bring camping gear, including a tent to set up in the main room. Dog attendees must be crate trained and not have any separation anxiety issues or aggression problems. Attendees may come with or without a dog. Activities include dog quiz bowl (played like Jeopardy but with dog trivia), dog obedience sessions, Tellington Touch workshop, therapy dog workshop, grooming workshop, agiilty, flyball, canine freestyle, rally-O, junior showmanship, dog health workshop, dog arts and crafts, bake your dog biscuits, dog night at the movies, Dog Olympics, and more. August 14-16th. Check in is 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, August 14th. Dog Retreat ends on Sunday, August 16th at 3:00 PM. Cost is $150.00 for registered 4-H'ers and $175.00 for non-4-H'ers. Cost for adult chaperones is $120.00. Additional fees for Canine Good Citizen test - $15.00 and Therapy Dogs International test - $15.00, if campers wish to participate.
