This two-week, design preparatory day program is for those 14 to 18 focused on fashion and passionate about creativity. Serious artists and aspiring fashion designers as well as students with limited art training are invited to apply. The Couture Summer Fashion Camp is a fun and engaging camp with focus on enhancing fashion design skills however, this program may not be suited for students in search of a recreational program. Class sizes are small to foster personalized, in-depth learning. Course work is hands-on and homework may be provided to strengthen design capabilities. Studio classes include the French Couture Fashion Sketch, Fashion Color Laboratorywith the European color palette, Fashion Still Life drawing, Sewing, Made-to-Measure French Couture Pattern Drafting working with the basics of the lower body to develop a Gucci-fit skirt, Luxury Finish Construction, and Runwaywith mock Red Carpet.

French couture made-to-measure is a technique explored primarily in Academy of Couture Art degree programs. Where mostfashion programs explore sizing such as 8 and 10, the Teen Couture Design Club gives participants the advantage by accessing the sophisticated French method of drafting the garment pattern from scratch to shape the unique individual body.

Classes meet weekdays 10:30am to 3:30pm. Courses specializing in fashion careers combined with experiences of our instructors introduce a real-world vision of careers in the industry from couture down to ready-to-wear.

Final exhibition of best work selected by students and faculty are displayed in fashion show presentation. Family and friends are invited to participant designer debuts as they model their garment on the college runway.

Intensive program includes grand fashion show with industry exposure and VIP guests.
