¡Bienvenidos a Costa Rica y Panama!
(Welcome to Costa Rica and Panama!)
Costa Rica and Panama are two of the most incredible countries in all of the Americas – ecological wonderlands that offer lush tropical jungles, beautiful beaches, and incredible natural wonders. Whether you crave adventure, are looking for fulfilling community service opportunities, or want to relax under the sun, Costa Rica and Panama offer something for everyone!
A Tropical Paradise Between the Pacific and the Caribbean
Lush jungles host an incredible variety of wildlife. Clear ocean waters beckon snorkelers, swimmers and sun-worshippers. From butterfly gardens to more than 50 beaches, Costa Rica is a country rich in natural wonder, inviting culture, and endless activity. And Panama, positioned between two continents and two oceans, is literally the crossroads of the Western Hemisphere!
Su Casa en Central America
Unlike ordinary international pre-college programs, ACA’s experience in Central America is not a homestay! Our students live and learn together, enjoying deluxe hotel accommodations near major attractions and cultural areas. You’re never far from incredible natural phenomena, or from quaint cultural attractions and local hospitality. Your accommodations feature in-suite bathrooms, housekeeping and air-conditioning. Of course, ACA’s experienced staff lives on-site, ensuring a safe, comfortable stay.
Study Spanish, Soak up Culture, Serve the Community
You’ll study Spanish at the Costa Rican Language Academy and earn three hours of college credit! ACA shows you Central America at its most awe-inspiring and provides you with a head start on your college career. You’ll take guided nature tours, visit remarkable cultural attractions, and participate in fulfilling community service opportunities allowing you to leave your mark on Costa Rica and Panama. To help you ace the admissions process, there’s even an option to take the Princeton Review SAT prep course. No prior Spanish required!
Endless Activities
The excitement and energy of Costa Rica and Panama are yours to enjoy. Stroll quaint boulevards, sample exotic tropical delights, and browse traditional markets. Want to pick up the pace? Sign up for a soccer tournament or learn the art of Costa Rican dance, check out the lava flow from an active volcano, or take a zip-line canopy tour above the rainforest! When you’re ready to unwind, there are plenty of art galleries and cafés perfect for quiet downtime. And don’t forget, if you join us in Panama, you’ll be able to take an incredible cruise of the Panama Canal!
