Girls ages 8 - 17: What are YOU doing this summer?! Why not spend a week or two (or more!) dancing, making new friends & having a BLAST with American Dance Training Camps in the beautiful Sierra Mountains of Northern California, just minutes from Lake Tahoe?

Our California home is the Squaw Valley Lodge at Squaw Valley USA (perhaps best known for its world class skiing and for being the site of the 1960 Olympics), a luxurious hotel in the resort’s base area packed with shops, restaurants, activities and fun...and views that will take your breath away! ADTC campers stay in 800 square foot Loft Condominium Suites that combine all the comforts of home with the amenities of a luxury lodge. Campers are assigned to suites by age, and each suite accommodates five to seven campers. A live-in ADTC counselor (in the loft) provides 24/7 supervision and support. Amenities include 2 bathrooms, a TV and kitchenette in each suite, an outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs, tennis courts, laundry facilities, and the ADTC Dance Canteen for basic supplies, snacks, ADTC apparel and souvenirs.

ADTC’s dance instructors are members of some of the best national and international studios and performance groups. Our dance instructors are Broadway and MTV performers, finalists from your favorite dance TV shows, collegiate dance team competitors and even Radio City Rockettes! Many of our dance instructors return year after year. ADTC’s camper-to-counselor ratio is 7:1.

In addition to core dance classes in contemporary, hip hop & jazz (styles of jazz vary and may include lyrical, modern or Broadway), you get to choose between ballet, tap or world dance for your core elective dance discipline each week. Campers take four dance classes per day, and at week’s end, you get to show off your new moves in a big Friday Night Performance for family, friends and fellow campers. Day camp option is available and girls ages 8 & 9 are invited to attend a “TRY-IT” session (3 nights instead of 6) to get a taste of what ADTC is all about!

Outside of dance, ADTC California campers can enjoy awesome activities like swimming, horseback riding, kayaking on Lake Tahoe, ice skating, rock wall, trampolines, a ropes course, mini golf & more!

P.S. for Parents: Looking to stay in the area after check-in or after the big Friday show? Or maybe you’re looking for a vacation for the whole family (or romantic getaway for two!) while your daughter attends camp? We partner with area hotels to offer parent & family vacation packages if you wish to stay nearby while your daughter attends ADTC.
