Florence is the spectacular city of the Renaissance - synonymous with high culture and sophistication. Florence houses nearly one fifth of the world's art treasures and abounds in architectural beauty, sculpture, painting, major museums, palaces and innumerable churches. Florence is the ideal Italian location for ASA's intensive interdisciplinary Summer Study Abroad program, where you will find yourself immersed in the arts and the humanities as well as daily exposure to urban Florentine life. Here is the opportunity of a lifetime to fulfill your interests in art, art history, fashion, architecture, visual arts, Italian language and culture.

This ASA Summer Study Abroad program combines the benefits of a pre-college curriculum with real-life cultural immersion, giving you the opportunity to experience Italian culture first hand. Students are taught by native professors, curators and artists who are experts in their field and are dedicated to ensuring you get the broadest exposure to the cultural riches of Florence. Your summer home and location of classes will be Convitto della Calza: in the heart of the city, uniquely charming for its combination of a 16th-century cloister, halls frescoed with original masterpieces such as Francibigio's Last Supper, and such modern conveniences as wi-fi in each room.
