ATB Adventure Summer Camp
Summer Address:
Berea, Ohio, United States
Boys and girls attending the Above the Barre Adventure Summer Camp 2009 will enjoy sampling everything the center has to offer while also taking part in activities matched to the theme for each week. One of the most attractive aspects for parents is that the ATB Adventure Camp lasts for a lengthy nine weeks and includes full and half-day sessions. “We find that kids get the most out of their experience when they have time to form friendships with other children in their age group,” Susan emphasizes. “And parents enjoy the piece of mind that comes from knowing their children are being engaged in a safe and nurturing environment. Most parents don’t want to have to come up with the next thing for their kids to do once a two-week camp is over. One of the greatest benefits for parents is ease of planning.” Another advantage is the schedule. Working parents don’t have to stress about finding a sitter because the full-day camp runs from 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. for ages five through 12. Half-day camp starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. for ages three through 12. Choose from either the five-day camp schedule or the three-day camp schedule (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). All campers get a free ATB camp t-shirt with a paid tuition. Camp activities will vary each week according to the planned theme and will include things like sports, games, team building, skits, field trips, camp songs and more. You don’t even have to pack a lunch for your child if you don’t want to because a slice of pizza and a beverage are available for a nominal charge. Healthy snacks are included each day. “Our camp coordinator a former YMCA Summer Camp Director who has made sure that no detail has been left unattended to,” Susan assures. “It can be a challenge to come up with enough activities to keep kids busy throughout the summer. We’ve done all the work for you.” Every Friday, campers get to put on a show that includes activities and awards for all participants—even those who prefer to remain behind the scenes instead of taking center stage.
“The most important thing any child can do when they’re with us is to have fun,” Susan says. “Camp broadens social skills and often taps resources your child never had to call on before, all while fostering a sense of independence. He or she will also learn to get along with new types of people. The benefits will be felt for years to come.”
