Camp Details

Each week-long camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with optional Before and After Care

July 20–24: Water, Water Everywhere

Splash into science with water experiments, meet animals that make water their home, and discover how Academy scientists study our own water supply.

July 27–31: Exploring Animal Antics

Investigate animal behavior through experiments while you get up close and personal with the Academy’s collection of live animals from all over the world.

August 3–7: Fossil Frenzy

Explore all things prehistoric when you meet real Academy paleontologists, find out if dinosaurs still walk—and fly—among us, and see with your own eyes the latest fossil discoveries.

August 10–14: The Art of Nature

Unleash your inner artist as you spend the week drawing dinosaurs, moving like animals, listening to the music of nature, and meeting some of the amazing artists who make the Academy their “studio.”

August 17–21: Bugs…and Other Spineless Wonders

Investigate insects, spiders, and other creepy crawlies through experiments. Spend time with our live insect collection and meet some scientists who take bug collecting to whole new heights.
