AQ offers the biggest and most varied adventure programs in the British Virgin Islands. The cool, steady trade winds, countless coves and bays, mind-blowing beaches and solid anchorages have made the BVI a playground for sailors, water sport enthusiasts, explorers and nature lovers alike. Situated at the top of the Caribbean Island chain, the BVI is the perfect training ground. The electric-blue waters are ideal for sailing, water skiing and wakeboarding. Thanks to the extraordinary array of marine life and incredible visibility, the scuba diving is mesmerizing. To top it off, there are 36 lush, tropical islands to visit so exploration changes from day to day.
Sailing through protected waters in a flotilla of four to eight 50-foot yachts, you and your team of shipmates from all over the globe will take the helm and play a large part in creating your own experience. Positions of responsibility change on a daily basis. One day you may be skipper and perhaps chef the next. Working together in this way, you will quickly become a team.
Our BVI voyages focus on adventure activities and earning certifications in sailing and scuba diving. ActionQuest is more than qualified - we are a certification facility for International Yachtmaster Training (IYT), as well as a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Gold Palm 5-Star training school.
BVI adventures are split into seven distinct programs that offer fun, challenging opportunities for both the novice and the more seasoned sailor or diver. No matter which voyage you choose, you will also be windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, grooving to the sound of a local reggae band, doing the limbo at a beach barbecue or chilling in your hammock on deck under the stars. The vessels anchor together for daily activities and evenings in sheltered bays so you will spend time with teens your age from other AQ voyages. There are even opportunities to test your team's sailing abilities in friendly boat races with other AQ crews. You'll also explore ashore, whether it's climbing granite boulders at The Baths, hiking Mt. Sage or visiting the deserted Salt Island.
