These camps are unforgettable!

Each session is a week long camping trip in the scenic, remote Adirondack Park. Campers gain skills and stretch their abilities rock climbing, rappelling, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and camping. They also learn map reading, camp cooking, and other skills necessary for the enjoyment of a lifetime of safe, responsible outdoor recreation.

Adventure activities take place in a well supervised environment. There is a maximum 3:1 camper to counselor ratio. Counselors are experienced, responsible, and trained in accident avoidance and safety management. The same counselors stay with the group for the whole week, encouraging campers and having fun right along side them.

Campers meet up with their group at our whitewater rafting facility in North River, NY. Then, the group sets out for a week of fun learning and practicing new skills in a variety of adventure activities. The trip finishes back at the rafting facility at the end of the week.

We also provide instructional trips where campers can focus on developing whitewater paddling skills. They spend the week learning basic water reading and safe paddling skills in a well supervised environment. On these trips, campers travel and camp throughout the Adirondacks paddling some of the most beautiful, fun rivers in the state! This trip option needs to be selected at the time of registration.

Parents and family members are invited to join the group on the last Saturday of the trip. They will work together, along with a professional guide to paddle the raft through the scenic Hudson River Gorge! Please let us know when you register your camper how many family members will be joining us on this exciting adventure.

All camping, canoeing, rock climbing, and other technical gear is provided. Campers must have their own personal equipment including sleeping bag, backpack, mess kit, and clothing. My daughter did a one week trip with Adirondack Adventures last year and she can't stop raving about it. She had so much fun that she has decided to go again this year. With all of the exciting activities (my daughter liked kayak camping the most) I am not worried at all that she will get bored with this camp - ever! I highly recommend this camp for parents who have kids that have a hard time sitting still and who love the outdoors.
