Armadale Public School - Summer Institute for Kids
Summer Address:
The Summer Institute is a summer program located at several selected schools around York Region and is supervised by and run through the York Region District School Board. It is being offered to community members as a component of The Performance Plus (P+) Family of Schools. The Performance-Plus Program provides support to those in greatest need. It builds connections in the community with public and private agencies, health and social service providers, businesses, and centres of faith. It fosters closer communication and interaction with parents. And it gives children reason to hope, dream, and aspire to any goal based on a foundation of academic success.
The Summer Institute melds academic challenges with artistic and athletic skill building. All programs follow guidelines of the Ontario Curriculum and provide a safe, secure environment for learning and play. They are also designed to kindle relationships that are sustained far into the students' lifetimes.
Activities include: reading, writing, math, science, arts and crafts, ball hockey, basketball, golf, cricket, computers, dance, model building, music, racquet sports, cooking, scrapbooking, rocketry and more!
Programs run weekly sessions for 6 weeks during July and August from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Extended child care in the morning and afternoons is available at the Armadale Public School Summer Institute. Please note that costs for child care are extra.
Weekly registration fees start from $115 per week (extended child care extra).
