Summer 2011 ArtsAbroad Camps and Tours
Prague Conservatory Workshop + Central European Music Tour
This pre-university program is for high school students or recent graduates who intend to seriously continue musical studies. A two-week workshop at the Prague Conservatory will focus on performance, music theory, and music history.  Private lessons and master classes are given by conservatory staff, who are usually professional musicians in Prague ensembles.  A recital at the end of the workshop will feature the piece you’ve been working on!  Afterward, enjoy a whirlwind music history tour to Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Leipzig, and Dresden.  Attend performances in the great concert halls of Central Europe, including the Munich Opera Festival.
International Band and Orchestra Camp + Prague, Salzburg and Vienna
Open to any high school student.  Tour Prague, Vienna and Salzburg, three beautiful cities with great musical histories.  Visit famous performance halls and enjoy concerts, explore the Alps and Neuschwanstein Castle (the model for Disney!) and cruise an underground river and caves.  Afterward, settle in a small Czech forest town for a 10 day international band or orchestra camp with full days of rehearsals, lessons and concerts. Free time will be spent enjoying the outdoors with hiking, swimming, talent shows and campfires. What better way to spend the summer than making friends from around the world and playing great music!
Acting Master Class- Meisner Technique + Brussels, London and Paris
Take advantage of the rare opportunity to participate in a professional acting method master class on the Meisner Technique!  Whether you want to be on the stage or in front of the camera, you will greatly improve your acting skills at Larry Silverberg’s True Acting Institute Europe in Brussels.  Long weekends will be spent in London and Paris with amazing sight-seeing, a workshop at the Globe Theatre, and going to theatre performances and the opera.
Altos de Chavón School of Design in the Dominican Republic

Studying drawing, fashion, graphic design or interior design at an affiliate school of Parsons The New School of Design. You will have a chance to build your portfolio as well as earn college-level credits.  The campus itself is a recreation of a medieval Italian village, and it is very charming.  We will also spend one weekend at a luxury all-inclusive beach resort for some summer fun!
Flamenco Dance or Guitar + Spanish language in Spain
Add to your repertoire with traditional Spanish dance or guitar classes! Daily Spanish language classes will also help you get settled in.  We will see the sights in the beautiful Moorish city of Granada, and enjoy a relaxing weekend at the beach resort town of Nerja.  A highlight of the program will be attending performances at Granada’s International Festival of Music & Dance.
University Students:  Please see our website for more summer and semester programs in art and music!
