At ACT, we provide a fun, supportive atmosphere for kids aged 8-14 to explore their creative side and improve their singing, dancing, and acting talents – all while making new friends and having a blast! A typical day at ACT includes a balance of performing arts programming taught by experienced theatre professionals, and traditional camp activities like outdoor games, swimming, and field trips. Each day, your child will learn new skills and participate in a variety of stimulating activities that encourage self-expression, creativity, and confidence. The main focus of the camp is the creation and production of a brand-new musical, written by the campers themselves! Throughout the three-week session, campers spend part of each day working on the musical. They are involved in writing the script, casting the show, creating sets and costumes, learning song and dance numbers, rehearsing their scenes, working with theatre technicians on lights and sound, and running the whole production. At the end of week three, parents and friends are invited to the world premiere of your child’s very own musical
