The Aspire French Language Immersion Program provides high school students with the opportunity to study intensive French language during the summer at the Institut Catholique de Paris. The summer session provides a general overview of French language studies for all levels; a placement exam will be administered prior to arrival to determine each student's ability level. Five (5) U.S. college credits can be earned by students upon successful completion of their studies. Students will have 21 hours of class per week: 15 hours of French language plus 2 workshops in oral French, phonetics, written French or French culture and civilization, depending on each student's level and ability. Students will earn a total of 84 contact hours for the summer session.
Students will live together with the Aspire on-site director at a local student residence while abroad. Classes are taught in French and will be held in the mornings, allowing for participation in Aspire cultural activities and excursions during the afternoons and weekends.
