The reality is being a teenage girl is not easy in today’s media-saturated image-based society, where girls fear rejection & feel a need for perfection.  It doesn't have to be that way.  BRIDGES Camp provides an opportunity for girls to discover who they are and learn to love themselves.

DEVELOP HEALTHY FRIENDSHIPS in a fun, encouraging and inspiring atmosphere.  GET REAL:  have conversations about what matters most to girls…with counselors who understand and will support their growth.  HAVE FUN:  daily fitness classes, self-defense, ropes course, talent show, and “Girls Circle” support groups!

Be a part of something special - an enlightening, self-esteem building summer camp experience where girls will learn how to deal with life as a teenage girl and become empowered to find themselves and their passions!!

At camp, girls can participate in fun fitness classes such as, yoga, Pilates, hip hop, Zumba, and kick-boxing.  Girls love our Challenge Course and Self-Defense training!  All courses are led by certified instructors.

BRIDGES Camp believes in the value of experiential learning (learning by doing) and in relationship-based shared learning (learning from your peers).  This is done through a combination of fun, interactive, large group activities where girls get to know all the other campers and staff, as well as in small, structured support groups called BRIDGES Girls' Circle, where 5-8 girls meet together with the same 2 enthusiastic, professionally trained adult facilitators a couple times per day throughout the week of camp.  Girls always say Girls' Circle is their favorite part and this opportunity to talk about issues girls don't usually have the chance to share is what makes BRIDGES Camp so unique.

Themes covered include:

Respect - for ourselves and others; for our bodies

Relationships - building healthy friendships, communication skills, conflict resolution

Individuality - expressing ourselves, self-acceptance, celebrating diversity

Dignity - building healthy self-esteem, self-talk, body-image

Goals - emotional purpose, finding passions, not letting obstacles get in the way

Empowerment - assertiveness, making healthy relationship decisions

Selflessness - learning appreciation & giving back; pay-it-forward projects

We encourage girls to find their true, authentic selves, to identify their own beauty and that of others, and to understand we are all worthy.  We believe EVERY GIRL HAS A STORY.
