Bear Tooth MT Ascent is a young adult transition program that offers a very effective Christ centered alcohol and drug addiction treatment. Our working cattle ranch is located in Northern Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park. Our success in alcohol and drug addiction treatment is based on 17 years of experience that has proven what works. We treat each person who comes to us with respect and dignity, while providing a safe yet adventurous place in which to heal. Our treatment philosophy is based on the recognition that addiction is NOT a disease but a CHOICE made out of Selfishness and fear, and that abstinence is a choice that must and can be made to stay clean and sober. We approach treatment in a holistic and Christian way, working with mind, body and spirit as components for a healthy life. Alcohol and drug addiction treatment is delivered by a committed and talented staff representing many disciplines including substance abuse/addiction counselors, fitness and recreation specialists and spiritual care professionals. Every young man will be encouraged to look to Jesus Christ as his "higher power"!

Our Substance Abuse Recovery Program brings the at-risk young man who may be struggling with drug and or alcohol abuse, to the discovery of who he is through the proven therapeutic effects of experiencing the awesome wonders of Gods beautiful creation in the Northern Wyoming wilderness. Young men ages 18 to 26 who need help overcoming substance abuse, anger issues, negative and potentially destructive behavior patterns, and poor peer relationships will benefit greatly from Bear Tooth MT Ascent's program. Parents who are looking for truly Christ centerd help for their struggling son will find our "Reality Therapy" approach to be just what their son needs. Our time tested and proven outdoor adventure has a therapeutic effect in helping every young man find their inner strength and unique gifts, as they discover their true potential in the rugged wilderness climate of Wyoming.

Bear Tooth MT Ascent is unique in that we are a real working (with approximately 500 head/on 40,000 acres) cattle ranch. Through the real work involved in ranching we give each young man who comes to BearTooth Mt. Ascent the opportunity to learn new skills, such as driving tractors, irrigating fields, carpentry, mechanizing, introduction to semi-driving, plant identification, animal husbandry, and all aspects of caring for beef cattle. Unlike other boot camps, brat camps, military schools or wilderness therapy programs where there is not the integration of Reality Therapy into every element of the troubled young mans everyday life. AT Bear Tooth MT Ascent Program we see changes in most areas of the Young mans behavior patterns. Many parents report that they see a major improvement in their sons respect for authority, and in their respectful and loving manner of relating with their family members.
