Slogan: To strengthen understanding and friendship among global young students and promote learning within each other. Requirements: Juniors, seniors, and University students. Date: August 6, 2006-August11, 2006. Five nights and six days in total.
VII.Content:
1.Get-together activities:
Greeting evening party:
Chinese programs: Beijing Opera, ethnic song and dance, pop music, hip-hop dance, etc.
Besides these, attendance also put on their own programs. Campfire evening party:
Participants are voluntary to put on show.
Roast whole mutton, light fireworks, cook, and lodge in camp (2 person /camp).
2.Visiting famous universities:
To visit Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University and other well-known universities.
3.Tour of places of historic interest and scenic beauty:
To visit the Imperial Palace, the Summer Palace, Great wallLong Qing Gorge.
4.Lecture:
Prepare to invite the academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and universal professor to give lectures.
Content: Confucianism culture or the psychological health of teenagers.
5.Learning Chinese and songs:
To learn simple greetings phrases and songs of each country.
6.Interesting activities:
Ethnic musical instrument, Japanese cuisine, tea ceremony, painting and calligraphy, paper-cut, making figure made of maltose, leather-silhouette show, yangko dance and other ethnic activities.
7.Exchange of sports:
sports competitions:
Football, basketball, volleyball, table-tennis, tug-of-war, and swimming.
to learn Chinese kongfu and tai ji.
chess competition:
Weiqi, international chess (National player will compete with participants personally and comment chess.)
VIII.Board and lodging:
1.Eating: mainly in universitys dining room, and take account of Beijing local favor(Beijing roast duck, instant-boiled mutton)
2.Lodging: in the dormitory of well-known university, 4 persons/room.
IX.Expense:
USD260/person, including accommodation, dinner and drink, vehicles, entrance tickets, activity fee, guide, and insurance. Journey cost to Beijing should provide by students.
