Belmont Day School Summer Session
Summer Address:

Since our opening in 1946 as Camp BelDay, Belmont Day School’s Summer Session has combined the best of relaxing summer fun with an enriching program that teaches skills to last a lifetime. We hope that every day during your summer with us you will feel what we sing at our morning meeting, “You are welcome at Belmont Day…”
Summer is about making new friends, learning and developing skills, pursuing interests, and growing independence. The summer programs at Belmont Day School are designed to provide safe and positive experiences that encourage and bolster the social, emotional, and physical growth of our participants at every level. We strive to provide well-rounded, fun-filled, and exciting summer adventures with many opportunities for exploration and play for children ages three to fifteen.
Children receive a swim lesson as well as a recreational swim period each day. Our head swim instructor is assisted by experienced water safety instructors and Red Cross-certified lifeguards. Children are evaluated at the beginning of their first session to determine their appropriate placement in our program. Children establish their own pace as they progress through the levels of our swim program, which is focused on developing the strength of each swimmer through the refinement of technique. The swim program begins with the front crawl stroke. While fine-tuning the crawl swimmers begin learning the elementary backstroke, followed by the breaststroke, back crawl, sidestroke and butterfly. Our lessons help children to become comfortable and capable in the water.
Morning and afternoon extended day options are available.
