Description:

Located at Biola University, in La Mirada, CA, Biola Youth Instrumental Music offers a truly unique setting and experience for students, ages 10-18, who want to grow both musically and spiritually. Students will participate each day in various ensembles, take classes in music history and music theory, have daily devotions, compete in team competitions and more. Repertoire for the different ensembles will be chosen to challenge students musically, both technically and stylistically. Students will also be encouraged to work for the Lord through all that they play and do. The summer music camp offers Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Piano Ensembles, and is for commuters and residents (students must be entering into high school in order to stay at Biola). The summer strings camp offers an intermediate and advanced string orchestra, and is for commuters only. All students must audition prior to admittance in the summer camps.
