Our Program

Blue Tree is a creative summer program for girls entering 7th–12th grades. For 2012, we are returning to both Bryn Mawr College (PA) and Smith College (MA). These are each wonderful all-women's colleges with exceptional academic reputations and beautiful settings. Bryn Mawr College is located in Bryn Mawr, PA, a charming community on the Main Line, just outside of Philadelphia. Smith College is located in Northampton, MA, about 1 hour north of Hartford and 2 hours west of Boston.

We offer 2 two-week sessions, with both day- and residential options. We offer airport pick-up as many students travel from different states. We have creative, small classes and an incredibly dedicated staff of diverse and talented young women. We design an environment for exploration and learning that is non-traditional, creative and tons of fun!

Our Classes

We offer a wide variety of creative class choices, and girls chosse two per session. All classes are hands-on and project-based, and girls leave with wonderful new skills as well as strong additions to their portfolios.

Creative Writing, Fashion Sketching & Porfolio, Fashion ReMix, Toy Design, Public Art, Acting & Improv, Story Arts & Illustration, Hip-Hop & Modern Dance, and (maga)Zine Workshop.

Our Staff

Our staff teaches a strong program and leads fantastic activities. They relate wonderfully to students and bring teaching, summer camp, and all-girls experiences with them. They are constant resources for our students, in and out of the classroom. They live in the dorms to provide 24-hour supervision.

Our Bryn Mawr program is directed by Beth Fauerbach, and our Smith program is directed by Nancy Noto.

Our costs and session dates vary by campus and are listed below.
