Our camp offers horse crazy kids ages 7 - 17, beginners through advanced, an opportunity to spend almost every waking moment with their horse. Just step out of your cabin and you are in one of the barns! Campers usually spend 4 to 5 hours per day with their horse and a 4 to 1 camper counselor ratio is maintained throughout camp.
At Bridle Paths Summer Camp, campers and their mounts are provided with training in several different English riding styles including, show jumping, dressage, hunt seat and cross country. The riding instructors have been carefully selected to ensure they work effectively and kindly with the camper. During formal lessons, riding groups are small, personalized and grouped according to riding ability. Campers then come together for late afternoon fun rides, which might include games, trail riding, a desensitization clinic, costume contest or a quad drill. During the heat of the day, find campers cooling off swimming, doing crafts under a canopy of grand-daddy oak trees, kayaking down the beautiful Crystal River, or relaxing in one of the air conditioned cabins. In the evening the campers enjoy team-building activities, watch movies, or share memories of their day by the campfire.
At Bridle Paths we take pride in providing a safe and fun filled summer where campers have the opportunity to learn and grow, develop new accomplishments in a non-competitive atmosphere and develop new friendships and camaraderie.
Join us for a summer of fun filled memories that will last a lifetime!
