Taipei, Taiwan—Mandarin Chinese & International Mentors Program

Brighton’s International Mentors Program in Taipei is a truly unique combination of Mandarin Chinese study, work experience, and cultural travel. It’s an ideal way for students to study Mandarin Chinese in a native environment and subsidize their own study abroad experience by volunteering as a Resident Advisor and mentor to young Taiwanese campers who are studying English. As a Brighton mentor, you join a staff of American and Taiwanese counselors who live on the beautiful Chung Gung University campus. Each weekday morning, mentors attend Chinese language courses (no previous knowledge of Mandarin is required) before joining young Taiwanese campers for lunch and an afternoon full of sports, activities and tours around Taipei

Prices for a two-week program which includes airport pickup, meals, lodging and tuition start as low as $850.00 making this an incredibly affordable way to travel abroad, study Chinese in a native environment, and gain valuable cultural and work experience in a safe, fun environment.

Visit the Brighton website for detailed program descriptions, daily itineraries and an online application. We also invite you to use the request information link above if you have any questions.
