CAMP FISHN AROUND
Summer Address:

FREE for Financially disadvantaged youths.../Low income families only. These youths that would otherwise not benefit week long camp due to financial constraints. We do have a screening process for qualifications. ALL Volunteers of this society hold current Security & Child Welfare clearances. Transportation to & from camps supplied by the society. Camp facilities are located throughout Alberta. Camp programs that are taught by certified and qualified instructors include:
Fishing (shore and boat)
Conservation: catch & release, Cow & Fish organization presentation, wetlands, fish habitat health, shoreline health, recycling, water, pollution
Sciences: marine biology, gravity, star gazing, constellations, plant id, fish id, fish habitat health, buoyancy, nature walk, forest health, campfire, fire safety/health
Survival skills, archery, hunting/firearm safety, maps and compass
Indoor & outdoor cooking, Boat Safety, Canadian Studies (to include Aboriginal)

More trips will be available based on funds being donated into the society. ie: last year, last minute donation rec'd so end of August we gathered for a 3 day trip to complete a barn dance/Waterton Lake camp! All camp limits are 12/camp time.
