• Personal development is the focus:  Our main objective is to lead each camper to a deeper friendship with Jesus Christ, through spiritual activities such as Mass, rosary, Gospel reflections, and talks on Christian virtues.  Children also learn determination, perseverance, and self-confidence through challenging lessons and contests. Campers are divided into teams that engage in friendly competitions throughout the week. Staff members award points to each team based on effort, achievement, charity, positive attitude, and service to others. Prizes are awarded to the winners.

• Learn with the pros:  Expert professional instructors teach the basics to beginners and new moves to the intermediate and advanced.  Campers learn correct techniques and water safety. We provide each camper with his own equipment for the week.

• Safety comes first:  With four adult staff members for every 16 campers, the high level of adult supervision and guidance ensures both safety and better learning. Surf instructors have strong water skills and are certified in CPR and first aid. Also, beginners surf on stable "soft-boards" which make learning safe and easy. Intermediate and advanced surfers may bring their own equipment if they wish.

• We emphasize personal attention:  Our 1:4 adult-to-child ratio offers an exceptional level of personal attention.  Photos of campers are posted on this Web site during each session, so that parents can participate in the progress of their children.

• Fee includes:  all equipment necessary (wet-suit, booties, surfboard), food, ground transportation, and lodging at Rancho Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano, CA. On the final day of camp, parents are invited to join us for the last surfing session, closing Mass and award ceremony for the campers. California Surf Camp is a program of ConQuest NA, Inc and Challenge NA, Inc.
