Camp Augusta
Summer Address:

Camp Augusta is an 80 acre, non-profit, residential summer camp
located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California. We area small camp with 90 campers per one to two week session and 45 staff.
Our staff training begins June 4th so if your application is
successful you would need to be here at camp for that date.
We aim to help campers develop self-confidence, independence, social skills (emotional intelligence), creativity, activity skills,
environmental awareness and appreciation, friendships, and healthy
living skills while having FUN in a small, tight, true community set
in a beautiful forest. Kids also learn what most modern children have
forgotten -- how to just play and be a kid without television, video
games, the internet, canned games, or social pressure. We are a fairly
rustic camp, the cabins are open air and don't have any electricity
(the bath houses do and hot water as well). This area gets little to
no rain in the summer so with the exception of the lodge, kitchen,
office and living quarters, everything is outside. Counselors take
their campers on an overnight once a week where they fall asleep
looking at the stars.
We are a small staff of 45 that soon becomes like family. Being such a
close community we are looking to know our potential staff as more
than just a list of skills and certificates. Our staff application
consists of six questions where we seek to know you better. The first
question for example is "who are you?" If you are interested in spending your summer with us, please complete the 6 questions with as much detail and insight that you can muster and send them to the director, Randy Grayson at the address on the website.
We are currently looking for males and females to fill the positions of:
Counselors
HEROES
Village Leaders
Admin Staff
Equestrian Staff
Kitchen Staff
