A CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
Our connection to our history, culture, and heritage is evident everyday but even moreso on Shabbath. The whole camp gets together as one big family. Shabbath programming is geared for all campers and staff to take the time to relax, reflect and participate in activities that are different from the usual daily programming at camp. Jewish history and the modern world, Jewish Community Issues, Israel, Social tolerance and Acceptance, Racism and Intolerance, and Human Rights are just a few of the many topics that are explored during our Shabbath learning sessions.
LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS
The spirit of Camp BB Riback can be felt from the first meeting in the morning to the friendship circle ending the night. Several times per session, a lunchtime sing-song brings the camp together. At the end of the session, a 2 day camp wide competition called Maccabia brings unprecedented excitement to the shores of Pine Lake. Most importantly, a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood is fostered in the cabin units. Campers leave on the bus home with new bonds of lifelong friendship.
