Camp Cedarbrook Texas

Camp Cedarbrook is the place to learn new skills, to meet life-long friends, to appreciate God’s creation, to be loved and accepted, and to grow closer to Jesus Christ. We have been serving the youth of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana since 1960. Camp Cedarbrook is a non-denominational, not-for-profit corporation camping ministry.
Our program uses Forest Glen Springs Camp facility for several weeks each summer. The camp is on a 300 acre tract of land located near Rosebud, Falls County, Texas. The facility offers a 20-acre private lake for recreational swimming, kayaking sailing, and canoeing; 300 acres of woods, rolling hills, grassy fields, and pathways with nature and bike trails. Campers live in small, family groups (camper to counselor ratio is 7:1) in air-conditioned cabins or screened platform tents with nearby bathhouses. Other facilities include an air-conditioned dining hall and infirmary, a nature center, horse barn and corral, riflery and archery ranges, a tuck shop and a craft hut.
Camp Cedarbrook Texas has separate camping weeks for girls and boys. Each camper begins the day with Morning Watch, a time alone with God for reflection. Each cabin group has Bible Exploration, a daily Bible study time. Activities are designed to help each camper learn new skills and enjoy the fun and fellowship of their camp experience. Activities offered vary from year to year, but often include: Kayaking, Canoeing, Sailing, CHA Horsemanship, Riflery and Archery, Ropes Challenge Course, Initiative Games, Leathercraft, Woodworking, Calligraphy, Woodburning, Other crafts, Fishing, Outdoor Cookery, Knife Safety, Nature, and Outdoor Living Skills.
