It has operated continuously for almost 40 years, since it’s founding in 1968. Camp Chanco is a residential camping experience for boys and girls 8-18 years old as an outdoor, program associated with the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia. It offers young people outdoor camping experience in cabins in a beautiful setting along the James River. Activities range from sailing to archery to ropes courses.
