Boys' Summer Camp

For Ages 8-15 -- Chewonki offers formalized instruction in several diverse activities: nature, campcraft, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, art, pottery, swimming, tennis, field sports, archery, farm and organic gardening, woodworking, renewable energy workshops and photography. Special emphasis is given to natural history and ecology, in addition to wilderness canoeing, hiking and sailing trips. Boating, campfires, carnivals, scavenger hunts, evening dips, discussion groups, star gazing, chess and checkers, drama and many other events and activities unique to each summer help to round out the program.

Co-Ed Wilderness Trips for Teens.

Camp Chewonki offers co-educational Wilderness Expeditions for teenagers, ages 13 to 17. Campers choose from a variety of trips that run from three to seven weeks. All exemplify Chewonki's philosophy of respect for self, the community, and the natural world. Eight to 10 participants and two leaders comprise each group.
