Founded in 1902, Camp Cobbossee is the "home away from home" for 200 boys each session. Cobbossee is located in Monmouth, Maine, approximately one hour from the Portland, Me. Airport. Our campus is set on almost a mile of shoreline on magnificent Lake Cobbosseecontee, which is eleven miles long and six miles across. The countryside surrounding Cobbossee is made up of evergreen forests and many beautiful lakes, mountains, and national parks.

Many of the Cobbossee traditions are carried on today by the children and grandchildren of Cobbossee alumni. Jill and Josh Cohen maintain a passionate commitment to providing campers with a perfect summer experience each year.

Campers come to us from the suburbs, cities and rural areas of the United States, Canada, and several other countries. Camp Cobbossee is the place where our boys (and staff) make "Friendships for a lifetime!"

Cobbossee's size allows for individual attention to our campers and guarantees that each boy feels that Cobbossee is his summer home. There is something special in every one of our campers, and as each boy develops his own interests and skills, Cobbossee’s caring and enthusiastic staff emphasizes respect for one’s self and for others. Our program is set up in four components: sports, waterfront, adventure, and pride! Sportsmanship and fair play are the cornerstones of the Cobbossee program and dominate the philosophy of our camp. Our campers enjoys trying new activities and improving thier skills on on waterfront. Every Cobbossee camper will take part in an overnight with thier cabin where they will experience the great Maine outdoors. Our campers and staff show a tremendous amount of pride in everthing they do.

Each summer our campers, both new and old, come to us full of curiosity, spirit, enthusiasm and energy. At Cobbossee we channel that energy and enthusiasm into the wide range of activities that we offer, helping each boy to succeed in whatever areas of interest that he chooses to pursue. Individual attention, excellent sports instruction, and all-out fun and excitement, are the hallmarks of a Cobbossee summer.
