This awesome program is designed for those wanting a camp experience as varied as a view through a kaleidoscope. Water Ways |
Take advantage of the crystal clear waters of Upper Saranac to sharpen your boating and swimming skills. Learn canoeing and finish your session with a trip on the lake. You'll still have time for archery, arts and crafts, games and the rest of Eagle Island's activities. Participants must pass a deep-water endurance swim test. |

This session you'll be walking around in an art daze! Enjoy two weeks jam-packed with art projects like tie-dying, candle making, drawing, paper mache' and painting. Sailing A |
Beginner and Intermediate sailors will gain experience rigging a boat, working the sails, steering and crewing, as well as learn basic sailing theory, safety and knot tying.Advanced sailors will learn advanced and racing skills and theory, participate in the Upper Saranac Lake Sailing Races, and assist with teaching sailing to the other campers. Participants must pass a deep-water endurance swim test. |

Trail Blazers |
Sharpen your outdoor skills in camp then, hit the trails for a three-day backpacking trip. You will still have plenty of time to swim, boat and make crafts. This program requires high energy and endurance. Participants must be in good physical condition, and must have well broken-in hiking boots and hiking socks and a light weight sleeping bag. Backpacks are available at camp. |

Just Dance |
Dancing is great exercise and tons of fun. Come to camp prepared to move and try several styles of dance. Jazz, Hip-Hop, Step, Ballet, Line Dancing--you decide. Put your moves to music and perform a recital for the camp. Girls in this unit should bring along a pair of light weight, soft soled sneakers. Note: Any music used for routines will be screened for camp-appropriate lyrics. |

Hooked on Survivor? Now is your chance to live it at Eagle Island. No need to worry. You won't go hungry and there are no dangerous animals or insects on our island.You'll soon find that TEAM is the key to survival! Collect colored beads on your "bear scarer" as you complete personal and team challenges. Can you Out Wit? Out Last? Out Play? Participants must bring a sleeping pad for overnight primitive camping. |

During this session you will sample two exciting adventure sports. Experience a day of cave exploration and another day of white water rafting. While on the island take part in the many programs offered. Archery, swimming, arts and crafts are just a few of the activities ready to challenge your adventurous spirit. Release of liability is required for all campers participating in white water rafting. Participants must pass a deep-water endurance swim test. |

Counselor in Training (CIT) |
CIT's work closely with the CIT Director and camp staff as they improve leadership and program skills. Learn about child development, camp philosophy, and camp safety. After an introductory training period, CIT's spend part of each day sharing their skills with younger campers in a variety of camp program areas and activities. Admission for this four-week program is selective. Contact the Council for a separate CIT application. |
