Camp Fishing Creek
Summer Address:

While the Camp Fishing Creek program is open to all young men ages 7 - 14, the ones who will benefit the most from this unique experience are youth with special needs, such as those with behavioral problems, low self-esteem, or lack of motivation. Our structured environment and invigorating atmosphere are conducive to implementing long-term behavior modification strategies that will help these young men succeed. The program incorporates methods of reinforcement and repetition aimed at mastery of behavioral goals; the purpose of which is to improve organizational and higher-order cognitive abilities resulting in precision in all key areas of life.
Specific and clear standards of acceptable and unacceptable behaviors are outlined by our camp's highly qualified counselors. In addition, each camp counselor is well versed in breaking down tasks to essential elements for demonstration and modeling. Once the basic components have been mastered, students then possess a firm foundation upon which our staff will help them build knowledge and skills that are crucial for success in life.
Our mission is to provide young men with an opportunity to master the skills necessary to overcome life's challenges. At Camp Fishing Creek, students will be encouraged to persist at various tasks within our structured community that are designed to be difficult yet attainable. Our programs stress a holistic approach to human development where students will feel inspired to achieve their maximum potential in a wholesome and patriotic atmosphere.
We accentuate growth in behavioral, conceptual, interpersonal, cultural, spiritual, moral, and physical spheres. We believe that such growth occurs most rapidly in an environment where discipline, competition, and leadership opportunities abound. Our activities challenge students physically, mentally, and emotionally to strive for higher achievement. Our mentoring helps them to help themselves with greater efficacy and success.
"It is easier to build boys than to repair men."
