Camp Friendship is a family-owned residential summer camp founded in 1966. Each summer we welcome campers ages 7 to 16 from all over the US and the world for one and two-week sessions. Centrally located in Virginia - just 30 minutes from Charlottesville, 1 hour from Richmond and 2.5 hours from Washington DC - campers find themselves in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounded by rolling hills and scenic woods - an ideal setting for a summer of fun and adventure! Camp Friendship is a co-ed sleep-away camp where campers are supported to be themselves, learn, play and grow in our camp community. We offer over 30 different activities including horseback riding, gymnastics, sports, creative and performing arts, and water sports. Half Day Horseback Riding is available for all campers and full day riding in our Equestrian Program, for girls ages 9-16, is a favorite for girls who just love horses.
