Camp Harrison is a co-ed resident camp for ages 7-17. A place where values are acquired, self reliance and sportsmanship learned, and character and confidence built.  Campers will have the opportunity to explore and gain an appreciation of the environment while participating in traditional summer camp activities on both land and water. YMCA Camp Harrison at Herring Ridge is located in the Mountains of North Carolina, just 90 minutes from Charlotte between Lenoir and Wilkesboro.  There are 2,160 acres of woods, streams, and trails centered around our private 140 acre Lake Broyhill.  Camp Harrison is a branch of YMCA of Greater Charlotte and is committed to helping campers grow morally and spiritually.  Activities include: horseback riding, sailing, kayaking, high ropes, sports, crafts, mountain biking, target sports, teen leadership programs and more. One week sessions offer program variety and quality. Individualized instruction is standard with a 1:4 staff to camper ratio that permits personal attention and quick learning. ACA Accredited.
