Camp Huawni
Summer Address:
Timpson, Texas, United StatesStarted in 1965 and still family-owned and operated today, Camp Huawni is a co-ed overnight summer camp for girls (ages 7-16) and boys (ages 7-15), located in the scenic pine forests of East Texas, near Timpson. Camp Huawni enrolls 130 campers in each of four sessions, two sessions of 2-week duration and two sessions lasting 1-week. The ratio of campers is approximately 60% girls to 40% boys, while the camper to counselor ratio is approximately 3:1, with counselors living in the cabins with the campers.

Traditional activities at Camp Huawni include: Swimming; Fishing; Hiking; Canoeing; Archery; Critter; Water Trolley and Slide; Arts and Crafts; Obstacle Course; Parasailing; Team Sports; and Camp-wide Special Events.
