Camp jack Hazard, a resident backpacking summer camp, provides the opportunity for children, teens, and families to discover the beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains! Our camp program provides to its participants many adventurous challenges, as well as traditional camp favorites! We also encourage personal growth and the cultivation of a healthy mind, body, and spirit, through team building and other activities incorporating the core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.
4 day and 7 day sessions for kids ages 6-16 beginning in late June. We also offer a family camp weekend in August, and 2 different teen programs:Pathfinders, a more adventurous session with extended backpacking trip, and Leaders in Training, where one can learn how to become a camp counselor!
Camp Activities include: backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, ropes course, arts and crafts, nature study, swimming.

2011 sessions:
RESIDENT CAMP - $480: Those who are ready for time away from home
may be more satisfied with our week-long resident camp program which
includes a 2 night backpacking trip. ages 9-16
Saturday, June 25- Friday, July 1
Saturday, July 2 -Friday, July 8
Saturday, July 9- Friday, July 15
LEADERS IN TRAINING (LIT) - $550: LITs receive a week of training in
communication, teamwork, counseling, and wilderness survival skills.
Their second week in the program allows them to learn through the
experience of helping lead a cabin of campers during the next session. ages 15-17
Saturday, June 25 -Friday, July 1
AND Saturday, July 2 -Friday, July 8
PATHFINDERS - $625: This program is for those mature teenagers that are
interested in an extended backpacking experience and would like to learn
backcountry survival skills, as well as other outdoor education topics.
These teenagers should be in pretty good hiking condition and be excited
about the outdoors. ages 15-17
Saturday, July 2- Friday, July 8
ROOKIES SESSION - $280: Young campers who have not been camping
before or spent many nights away from home are better suited to our 4-day
Rookies Sessions. This is generally appropriate for campers age 6-14.

FAMILY CAMP - $375 (FOR A CABIN OF UP TO 10 PEOPLE): Whether
youre hoping to bring out your familys creative side, or to bond through
teamwork, CJH will have an activity that will move at your pace and cater
to your individual needs. All of our regular camp activities will be
available for you to choose from, and of course, campers are welcome to
enjoy the sites at their own pace.
