Kabeyun combines an elective system of programming, an emphasis on non-competitive activities and a focus on instruction. 85 acres and almost a mile of shorefront on Lake Winnipesaukee.  100 boys, 7 16 with a 3 to 1 camper to staff ratio and excellent (80%+) return rate for staff. All activities, including adventure trips, are available to all boys, regardless of age. We do a lot on the water: swimming, sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, fishing, canoeing, kayaking.  On land we offer a range of creative arts and traditional camp activities: pottery, leather, wood shop, drama, music and photography; ropes course, tennis, badminton, archery, nature study, balanced with tripping opportunities: hiking, rock climbing, white water kayaking and canoeing. Since 1924; private non-profit.

Introductory Session

Kabeyun's two-week introductory session, available for first-time campers aged 7-9, will be offered Monday July 26, through Tuesday, August 9, 2005.

The Bears Adventure Program

Our three-week adventure program is available to boys 14 - 16 years old wioth some backcountry experience. July 26 - August 16. Offering the same emphasis on instruction, this program will take 6 boys and two experienced senior trip leaders on a multi-element adventure hiking, rock climbing, white water kayaking and canoeing in New Hampshire and Maine. Arrival at and departure from Kabeyun, but the three weeks are spent entirely in the backcountry. Call for further details!
