Summer Resident Camp at Camp Lakota offers a variety of programs for girls entering grades 2 - 12 next autumn. Depending on their program of choice, girls can attend resident camp from 5 to 14 days. Girls do not need to be registered Girl Scouts when they submit their camp application, however, all girls are required to become members of Girls Scouts before they attend camp.
Highlights of Resident Camp are:
- excellent Western style horseback riding programs for girl of all ages and riding abilities
- beautiful outdoor heated pool
- delicious, healthy meals and snacks
- outdoor games, camping skills, crafts, hikes, archery and more
- specialty programs offered in drama, astronomy, team building
- total camper supervision by trained, caring adults
- emphasis on the Girl Scout program teaching valuable skills like making friends, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and developing self-esteem
