One of New England’s premier 7 week residential, co-ed camps, Laurel combines cutting edge programming in a family atmosphere. Our exemplary staff provides a safe, fun, nurturing environment for children ages 7-15. Ideally located in Maine’s Central Lakes Region, Echo Lake crowns Camp Laurel’s 150 acres of woodlands with its 2,000 feet of natural shoreline and a magnificent sandy beach. Our staff consist of professionals, experienced teachers and collegians from 35 states and 10 countries, all drawn together by a strong desire to live with, teach and care for children. Modern, fully-equipped facilities and high-quality equipment enhance our cutting-edge program. Our extensive program is comprised of 6 distinct areas including: Waterfront, Athletics, Tennis, Adventure, Inter Arts and Horseback Riding.

Laurel’s exceptional facilities feature:

· an 8000 square foot indoor Field house that houses 10 Basketball hoops and an intercollegiate indoor volleyball court

· a brand new 60,000 square foot Baseball and Lacrosse Complex

· Two regulation lighted soccer fields

· Four regulation basketball courts with glass backboards, lights, breakaway rims, adjustable goals

· Full-size, regulation, lighted roller-hockey arena, with team benches

· A lighted beach volleyball court

· A 4,000-foot Indoor Sports Complex, housing separate facilities for Gymnastics (with a springboard floor and Olympic-style equipment), Dance and a modern, fully equipped Fitness Center

· Fifteen hard-surfaced tennis courts

· Four championship Master Craft boats

· More than 30 sailboats and sailboards, including Hobie, 16's, Vanguards and Sunfish

· a brand new Equestrian facility

· 28-station high and low ropes course

· Two 55-foot extreme climbing towers

· Professionally-equipped Theatre, with full-sized stage, wardrobe, dressing rooms, grand piano and musical instruments
