Nestled among 418 acres of pine forest, Camp Long is dedicated to serving at-risk youth in South Carolina. The site houses YLIs Youth Development Center, a year-round residential educational program for non-violent, determinately sentenced juveniles, and the Youth ChalleNGe Academy, a program of the SC National Guard that offers high school drop-outs a chance to earn their GED. Long features an 18-acre lake for swimming and canoeing, a low and high challenge ropes course, a 35-foot climbing tower, hiking and mountain biking trails, and several recreation and camping areas.
The camp is located approximately 35 miles from both Columbia, South Carolina and Augusta, Georgia, five miles from Interstate 20.
