Both the Explorer and Journey Day Camp programs feature activities similar to a rotational model of learning.  Campers will spend time throughout their week breaking into small groups and rotating through various structured excercises, as well as activities of their own interest.

Following in this vision, a week of Day Camp may include but is not limited to:

  • Bible Time :: activities that engage children, daily, in learning about God and His character through song, skits or dramas, small group discussion, and prayer
  • Interest Groups :: activities that allow campers to pursue areas of their own interests, ranging in a variety of options
  • Large Group Games :: have you ever played capture the flag on over 30 acres of land?  Want to?
  • Free Time :: 2 hours every day where campers have the option to visit: the NEW Aquatic Center, game room, pickle shack & camp store, pond, or art hut.  All areas are supervised with Camp Manitoqua summer staff and or life guards
  • Creation Exploration :: interactive and hands on activities that investigate God's creation and our role in it
  • Arts & Crafts :: exploration of the arts through individual, small group, or all camp projects
  • Small Group Games :: includes team building initiatives or games/activities that are specific to each age group

Extra Day Camp Activities
