Camp Maripai is located in the heart of Prescott National Forest in the Bradshaw Mountains. We build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Camp Maripai achieves this mission through fun activities, teaching new skills, and building new friendships and camp community. We focus on traditional camp activities as well as "specialty units" that include horseback riding, arts and crafts, leadership skills, archery and much more! Traditional camp activities include horseback riding, arts and crafts, archery, hiking, outdoor cooking, flag ceremonies, singing, campfires and more! Campers reside in cabins with 4-5 other girls, enjoy 3 well-balanced meals in the dining hall, and can purchase snacks, t-shirts and other necessities in the camp store. Our counselors are enthusiastic and fun-loving individuals who choose to spend their summers making a difference in the life of a girl. Staff are screened through an application process, personal interview, reference checks, national background check and a drug screen. Most of them have attended our camps as a child and have a Girl Scout background. They also attend a week long pre-camp training session learning how to make your camper's experience fun-filled and meaningful. Last but not least -- Your camper does not have to be a Girl Scout to attend summer camp at Camp Maripai. So bring a friend and register on-line! "She had an absolutely marvelous time. This was her first time to be away from home for a week, and she did not attend with any friends. She made great friends, tried all kinds of new activities, and can't wait to go again next year. She's already thinking of 2 weeks next year. What a wonderful growth experience for her." - Camper Parent
