YMCA Camp Mason is a summer camp and year-round outdoor education & conference center. Founded in 1900, our programs and facilities have grown tremendously since that time. Located in northwestern New Jersey in Hardwick Township, Camp Mason serves more than 11,000 children, adults, and families annually. Camp Mason’s resident summer camp provides leadership, facilities, and high quality programming in a unique outdoor natural setting. We work with children to help them recognize their talents and to promote their development. We work in groups that focus on cooperative and social interaction by teaching a wide variety of skills through activities that are safe and fun. We work outdoors to reinforce the connection we all have to the world around us. We work each and every day to instill the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility. Our mission is to build the kind of character in each child that will help them succeed in life through self-enrichment and contribution to others. We do this by providing the kind of positive experience—a Camp Mason experience—that literally lasts a lifetime.
