The Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia operates and maintains five camp properties that are used for outdoor activities, Day Camp, summer resident camp and troop camping throughout the year. Each camp has its own unique personality which stems from its location, facilities, activities offered, camper age groups, camp administration and its traditions passed on through the years.

Camp Meriwether is 270 acres of mixed forest land with rolling hills that was purchased as the site for our fifth camp. Two years of construction have transformed what was once a cotton farm into a resident camp complete with cabins, dining hall, equestrian facility, canoeing lake, swimming pool, troop houses, low and high ropes adventure courses, pavilion and activity areas. Meriwether is the ideal location for a variety of camp activities such as horseback riding, canoeing, drama, science and other fun activities leading to lasting friendships.

The goals of Camp Meriwether are to bring girls together in a fun environment, to encourage them to learn and experience new activities that give them the confidence to build lasting friendships. We provide a healthy atmosphere where campers can have the opportunity to live in the out of doors while creating connections to their Girl Scout sisters through a positive and meaningful camp experience.
