Camp Musica is a week long summer camp where kids learn how to play in a band. At the end of the camp all of the kids perform in a rock style concert in front of a live audience. They also learn how to sing as a group in harmony, and how to stay together rhythmically in a percussion ensemble. Each band writes a song together. The kids also learn how to work as a group and what it means to be both a leader and a team player. We talk about image, self-confidence and discipline. It is great to see the kids apply what they learned on their primary instrument in a group setting.
