O-AT-KA, founded in 1906, is a traditional boys summer camp nestled on the western shore of Sebago Lake, Maine. O-AT-KA provides a nurturing and supportive environment for its boys ages 7-16. The camp offers superb land and water-sports, as well as a strong arts and crafts program headquartered in a new eight-studio arts center. Campers may select from a wide range of activities including: riflery, archery, sailing, fishing, waterskiing, camp craft, stained glass, nature, steel drums, pottery, photography, fly-tying, rod building, drama, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, and woodworking. Team sports and skill development are offered in soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball and lacrosse. Wilderness trips, canoeing/kayaking, and day hikes are also part of the program offerings. Older campers may choose to study and train to become a certified Junior Maine Guide. O-AT-KA has a full season C.I.T. Program for a limited number of 16 years olds.
Camp facilities include 20 enclosed/screened cabins, 5 tennis courts, playing fields, auditorium, dining hall, infirmary as well as rifle and archery ranges. New facilities include an arts center with eight studios and a covered sports center housing 2 basketball courts. Traditional values, an integral part of camp life, are reinforced by a superb staff, through group living and daily camp gatherings...all helping to build a solid foundation for life which stresses values, skills, friendships, and fun.
