Camp Oak Hill was founded in 1947 by two remarkable African-American women from Philadelphia, Ms. Margaret Richardson and Mrs. Irene Walker. It was purchased in 1987 and now operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The camp is operated by Curt and Judy Ashburn.

Traditional Monday through Friday overnight summer camp sessions begin June 28, 2004 and end August 6, 2004. July 19-21 is for teens ages 13-15. All other weeks are for children ages 7-12. Dance Camp is from August 11-21 for ages 6-16.
