COTI is a private practice of occupational therapists in the greaster Cincinnati area. We have two clinic sites that provide special summer group experiences for children ages 2-12. We work with a wide range of children who have sensory processing difficulties or motor problems.

The following are descriptions of COTI’s group offerings. We have expanded our offerings from COTI’s traditional summer groups in an attempt to meet a wider range of needs for summer programming. All groups meet once each week for six sessions with the exception of Handwriting Enrichment which meets on four consecutive days. We hope that you find something just right for you. All groups are staffed by licensed therapists and have specific therapeutic goals. The cost of each group is calculated based to a large extent on the ratio of therapists to children. Medical insurance typically does not pay for groups. Payment in full is required by the first group session. Blue Ash groups are held at COTI’s main office at 4440 Carver Woods Drive 45242 Anderson groups are held at COTI’s clinic at 7249 Beechmont Ave, 45230 BLUE ASH Game Night at COTI (Ages 6-9) This group will give children the opportunity to practice important social skills such as turn taking, following directions, cooperative play, interpreting nonverbal cues, and winning and losing graciously. Games will be varied in type from board games to more active games. Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 pm June 14 – July 26 (no group on July 5). At least a 4:1 ratio of children to adults. Cost: $250. Game Night at COTI (Ages 10-13) This group will give children the opportunity to practice important social skills such as turn taking, following directions, cooperative play, interpreting nonverbal cues, and winning and losing graciously. Games will be varied in type from board games to more active games. Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 pm June 13 – July 25 (no group on July 4). At least a 4:1 ratio of children to adults. Cost: $250. Lunch-N-Learn (Ages 8 and up) In this group, your child will have the opportunity to plan and prepare lunch with friends each week. The focus of this group will be on activities of daily living, group process, motor planning/sequencing, and appropriate social skills. Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm June 20 – August 1 (no group on July 4) Maximum group size: 6. Cost $275. Fun with Food (Ages 2-5) This group is for younger children who are having problems with eating and will provide help through sensory, postural and motor solutions. Parent and child pairs will work together to build positive eating experiences. Tuesdays from 12:30 – 2:00 pm June 19 – July 31 (no group on July 3) Group size: four parent/child pairs. Cost $250. Language Based OT Groups (Ages 4-6 and 6-9) This group is COTI’s traditional summer group facilitated by an occupational and speech therapy team. The group incorporates inter-active communication in a sensorimotor environment to focus on social, language and motor goals. Ages 6-9 Tuesdays from 9:00 – 11:00 am June 19 – July 31 (no group on July 3). Ages 4-6 Thursdays from 9:00 – 11:00 am June 21 – August 2 (no group on July. Maximum group size: six. Cost $450. Too Fast, Too Slow (Ages 4-6) This group is designed for those children that have difficulty staying at the “just right” speed for the situation. Focused attention is needed for best learning to occur and the goal of this group is to help your child experience that just right” place using a variety of sensory motor experiences. Children should have age appropriate language and cognitive skills to benefit from this group. Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 pm June 20 – August 1 (no group on July 4). Group size: six. Cost $275. Anderson Groups Game Night at COTI (Ages 6-9) This group will give children the opportunity to practice important social skills such as turn taking, following directions, cooperative play, interpreting nonverbal cues, and winning and losing graciously. Mondays from 6:00 – 8:00 pm June 18 – July 23. At least a 4:1 ratio of children to adults. Cost: $250. Language Based OT Groups (Ages 4-6) This group is COTI’s traditional summer group facilitated by an occupational and speech therapy team. The group incorporates interactive communication in a sensorimotor environment to focus on social, language and motor goals. Wednesdays from 9:00 – 11:00 am from June 20 – August 1 (no group on July 4). Maximum group size: six. Cost $450. Handwriting Enrichment (Entering 1st-5th grades) These OT handwriting groups are designed to provide handwriting enrichment and support for children struggling with the mechanics of writing. Stations will include a variety of sensory motor and writing activities. Ideas for home activities will be provided each day. Sessions are held for four consecutive days for two hours each day. At least a 4:1 ratio of children to adults. Cost: $195.
