Camp Pine Valley is one of 5 camps within the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Council, Inc.   Please visit our website at for more information.

Nestled on 620 acres of shady pines is a place your camper can call home! Camp Pine Valley provides girls the opportunity to learn about themselves and others. Through these experiences girls build confidence and develop social, outdoor and leadership skills, while making new friends. Focusing on positive values and critical thinking skills, our camp experience allows girls to participate in current programs that are both creative and adventurous. Campers also enjoy traditional Girl Scout activities including; singing, cooking in the out-of-doors, campfires and ceremonies.

Camp Philosophy

Camp Pine Valley follows the Girl Scout philosophy; building girls of courage confidence and character who make the world a better place.  In addition to this philosophy we promote community development through group living and interaction. You will notice your camper is paired with a designated counselor and a group of campers.  This group is a family group experiencing camp together.  This style of camping is know as centralized camping and promotes development of health relationships, ability to resolve conflict and cooperation among peers.  This way of camping helps girls find their identity in their group and feel safe knowing she has a counselor and friends to call her own.

Weekly Themes

Weekly sessions are planned using themes for each age level.  During each session your camper experiences traditional activities, (arts & crafts, swimming, boating, nature, teambuilding, cookouts, and campfires) and themed all camp activities.

Camper Housing -

Campers are housed in tent units by grade levels.  Each unit is a community with 4 counselor groups.  Our tents are open-air canvas tents with 4 beds.  There are 2 tents on each tin roof platform.  There are 5 platforms in a unit.  The girls sleep on separate platforms than their counselors who are housed 1 – 2 platforms away.

There are limited spaces available in 1 cabin unit. Each cabin sleeps 8 campers and is air conditioned. Counselors sleep in one of the cabins.
