Here's a place where you can do just about everything under the sun. A magnificent 115 acre camp on the edge of the Ocala National Forest and on the shores of a spring-fed lake.
Camp Shalom is a family camp owned by the Sokols since 1970. Through the years, thousands of campers have spent their summers with us growing, playing, making life-long friends. We hope that you will take the time to see all that camp has to offer!
The ideal weather of North Central Florida makes our lake perfect for all water activities. Swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, skiing, and jet
skiing are all done in the lake off our white sandy beach. Also on the premises, campers enjoy cooling off in our swimming pool.
We have facilities for every type of camper: Team games such as softball, flag football, volleyball, indoor and outdoor basketball, and soccer. Horseback riding, archery, a 40 foot climbing tower with zip lines, and a confidence building Ropes Course set us apart from other camps
Athletics are complemented by campfires, cook-outs, dances, arts and crafts, and drama.
Camp Shalom is where children develop important life skills, independence, honesty, helpfulness and self esteem . Because campers live in the cabin with other children their age, they learn how to get along with their peers and respect one another.
We refer to Camp Shalom as a "family camp." It is a place where all kids are valued, no matter what their talents or differences are, every body who comes here has a place to shine. Children have the time of their lives at Camp Shalom, making friendships that can last into their adulthood.
